The Owners of Barney's Lakeside Resort
Like you, we were tourists on holiday in the Chilcotin in 2007. We came across Puntzi Lake and Barney's Lakeside resort by accident. We were suppose to camp at Tatla Lake.
Barney's was for sale and it had been for two years. We didn't really notice the run down state of the campground - we just noticed the beauty of the lake and scenery of the Chilcotin and the potential of Barney's.
So we made a radical lifestyle change and sold our business in Revelstoke. We bought Barney's and moved to Puntzi Lake. we spent most of 2008 restoring the campgroound and renovating the cabins. Spring of 2009 should see the completion of the renovations.
Barney's was once a very popular and busy resort. We hope to bring Barnney's back to what it once was and hopefully even better!. We look forward to see our past campers return as well as many new campers and friends in the coming seasons.
